- Name and address of a local vet experienced in caring for rats
- Cage
- Bedding
- Exercise wheel, 12" (optional, but highly recommended)
- Litter box and potty litter (if you plan to use one)
- Hanging water bottle, glass, or plastic with metal guard holder
- Food, laboratory block
- Food dish, ceramic or glass (optional, but recommended)
- Chew toys, assorted
- Hut, cave, igloo, or similar hiding place
- Soft bed, hammocks, tubes, etc.
